Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) are a graphical user interface for code development. A currently popular IDE is VSCode. We recommend that VSCode be run through our Open OnDemand VSCode interactive application.

Programmers who want to use a graphical user interface to edit source files, but not necessarily a full IDE, can use them on the FastX graphical frontend.
